Hi Gage,
Thanks for commenting, love the debate. First of all with start with the obvious.

"argument he can’t protect these “illegal immigrants”

"illegal" means :contrary to or forbidden by law, especially criminal law. ei.: unlawful, illicit, illegitimate, criminal, felonious; unlicensed, unauthorized, unsanctioned, warrantless; fraudulent, corrupt; outlawed, banned, forbidden, prohibited, etc.

He can delay the action taken to enforce the consequences (prosecutorial discretion) of this illegal action but CAN NOT CHANGE the action from being ILLEGAL to Legal. That can only be done by CHANGING the Laws already on the books created by the Congress and can only be CHANGED by the Congress of the United States, NOT the President. The President took an Oath to faithfully execute the laws of the United States... Not to make them up as he goes.

REFERENCE:: Emperor Obama and Gov’t

"reminiscent of Hoover’s executive orders to severely restrict immigration during the Great Depression to “protect American jobs from immigrants.”

Actually, if you wish to compare the two, by Obama granting this overreach of power to the estimated 5 million "Illegal" immigrants - that number has been compared to the total number of jobs created since becoming president... so I am thinking the remaining under-employed, part-time employed, or no longer counted unemployed - millions of Americans still searching for work, will now have to deal with more competition for those rare remaining opportunities left, and the driving down of the already stagnate wages in the country... only to see them drop more because of the influx of more uneducated low wage illegal immigrants.

After more than 6 years of presidency putting up with relentless noncooperation by especially the conservative, religious right, I don’t blame him for being a little more “bold” to fight for the rights of these under-represented groups.

First of all, for the first 2 years he had total control of the Senate and the House... He could have done the ANYTHING he wanted to do if the wanted to make legislation on immigration. ANYTHING. But he did NOT. The House passed over 300 Bills that sat on Senator Reids' (Dem. Senate Majority Leader) desk - that never came up for a vote. (? who was the actual obstructionist in the senate?? - The Congress is a body of 2 Houses.) Obama spent actually years saying he did not have the authority to do what he did... What 20-25 times he said, I can't do this to his base and supporters and to the American public.

I have explained each of these in depth. I will expand on any part you think I have not clearly covered. But the facts are the facts. Even Emperor Obama can't make up or change the facts, even though at this point, I believe he doesn't even care about the facts or the Constitution.
