Congratulations President Obama.

President Obama has done something extremely effective, and when he does, this needs to be pointed out.

President Obama has continued the Bush policies of keeping a military presence in the Middle East. He did not scrub the mission to get Bin Laden.

The President may have came up with the technique in order to pull this off all by himself. The military wanted to go in there and bomb like they always do. They wanted to go in there and drop missiles and launch bombs, a number of totally destructive techniques. But President Obama, perhaps the only qualified member in the room to deal with this, insisted on the Special Forces… mmm…

No one else thought of that. According to the President and news reports, not a single intelligence adviser, not a single national security adviser, not a single military adviser came up with the idea of using the Special Forces… Really??

Actually, he kept the Bush policies alive keeping a military presence in the Middle East, allowing the military to finish the job that they started nearly ten years ago.

Obama deserves praise for continuing the Bush policies at Guantanamo Bay. Detainees who may have been waterboarded, and again we need to never forget that President Obama deserves our praise for continuing the policies established by George W. Bush which led to the acquisition of this intelligence that led us to the enlarged hut in Pakistan that led to the assassination of Bin Laden.

Even though Osama had long since stopped being a key commander, because he had no way to issue orders. He was a figurehead. He’d been taken out of the game because of the worldwide manhunt to find him.

This victory was brought about by the policies of the Bush and Cheney administration, policies that President Obama saw fit to continue to the end, keeping our troops in the Middle East, a heightened military presence, unafraid to use the Special Ops.

In 2008, Obama said:

“I’m not gonna make him a martyr. I would not kill him. I would capture him.”

These teams that Obama said he assembled, they fall under the command of the Joint Special Operations Command. They have been operating for almost 30 years. The Joint Special Operations Command is comprised of Delta, the 75th Ranger Regiment, the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment.

Marine Force Reconnaissance, SEAL Team 6, 1st Special Operations Wing, the 24th Special Tactics Squadron and a few other support elements. The CIA is also heavily involved, especially those from the clandestine service.

That organization has been assembled and operating in Iraq and Afghanistan for almost ten years.

Obama did not assemble it.

It’s the CIA and the Joint Special Operations Command who deserve all the credit for this.

President Obama deserves credit for not disassembling them, because this has been the policy of this country for ten years.

Guantanamo Bay, interrogation, rendition, all of the things the Bush administration put into play to win the War on Terror, this regime kept in place. They might have said something else, they might have given their supporters a different impression by saying they’re gonna close Guantanamo Bay and they’re gonna end all this harsh interrogation technique stuff. But, in fact, they continued the policies.

May 2 from Al Jazeera:

“The US spy agency learned his name four years ago; two years later, it tracked the courier and his brother to a compound in Abbottabad in Pakistan.”

The CIA probably found him through the previously described techniques, tracking him for months with the help of some Delta guys on the ground. And the team that went in Sunday night. They are the ones who deserve all the credit for this, not a politician or a bureaucrat in DC, except to the extent that they didn’t shut it down.

It is a great day for America, but the guys who did the heavy lifting are the guys who wear the uniform.

The left,  the Democrat Party of this country, the liberals, owe us and the United States an apology. They owe us an apology for taking every opportunity to undermine our efforts to track down Bin Laden and other terrorists.

They owe us an apology for their speeches, for their protests, for their lawsuits, their overall campaign to deny our military and our intelligence services the tools and techniques needed to defeat the enemy.

They have sought to undermine the US military, not only in Iraq, but around the world. They have impugned our intelligence services — they have sought to undermine them for at least the last eight years — and among those who owe us this apology is Barack Obama.

Barack Obama campaigned against the very enhanced interrogations that have made him a hero.

One of the first things he did was to sign an executive order closing Guantanamo Bay. It was Barack Obama who wanted to parade Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to New York for a multiyear, multimillion-dollar trial . Barack Obama won the Democrat primary in big part due to his radical anti-war positions — positions that he shared with the most extreme elements in our society. Eric Holder,  owes this nation an apology for his efforts to criminalize this war.

Virtually every tool, every apparatus, every technique, every policy used to effect a successful mission to kill Osama Bin Laden was employed by this current administration and they campaigned on undermining, destroying and ending all of it — and now they claim credit for being gutsy and courageous?

Not a word about the supreme efforts of General Petraeus or the military. Nothing. The staff is still out there trying to frame this as a win for Obama — not the troops, not for intel, not for America, but a win for Obama.

Despite everything that’s been said by this president and this regime, even as they pat themselves on the back, they deserve congratulations.

This is something that Obama inherited from Bush. He inherited a rotten economy. He inherited horrible deficit. He inherited recession. Well, he inherited the policy that led to the killing of Osama Bin Laden.

8-28-2010 Restoring Honor Rally

This Rally began with a member of the Boy Scouts reciting, along with the crowd, the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE (anyone remember that from school).

Political Rally – NOT – No policies discussed, No politicians were named and no elections were talked about. No anger, hatred, or violence (no arrest). MLK was honored not disgraced. Virtually no signs or flags other than those of our American Flag were displayed. The Rally focused on God -Faith, Hope and Charity. Amazing stories of brave individuals were shared and prayers being said. At least 500,000 people gathered. Sarah Palin – she spoke of three soldiers that experienced incredible tragedy and spoke of her own son in the military.
Black robe regiment – 240 men and women of the cloth to include Imams, Rabbis, Priest, Preachers and those representative of all denominations joined together in hopes of restoring Faith to our GREAT Nation.

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) spoke to give attention to their cause of providing college scholarship grants, along with financial aid and educational counseling to the surviving children of special operations personnel who die in operational or training missions and immediate financial assistance to severely wounded special operations personnel and their families.

Alveda King MLK’s niece spoke at rally and Amazing Grace was sang.
What was left behind? Virtually no trash was left behind by those who gathered. A great day spent with family and a few thousand friends.

After the One Nation Rally:

I believe the pictures speak for themselves. Which side are you on?

After whining for the millionth time about how much he has on his plate, Obama said he expects Congress to draft an immigration bill by year’s end… after health care, energy, and financial regulations are enacted.

Vowing he’ll get immigration reform passed next year, Obama warned there will be, quote,

“demagogues out there who try to suggest that any form or pathway for legalization for those who are already in the United States is unacceptable.”

This is good news.

If Obama holds to this schedule, the timing is great for Republicans — if, that is, they’re willing to represent their base. And with the 2010 elections within striking distance, we’ll see how “unified” the Democrats — especially the Blue Dogs — are when it comes to granting blanket amnesty to illegals.

As for Obama’s slamming the so-called demagogues out there: Sadly, it’s a ritual for this president to stand on foreign soil and disparage American citizens whose legitimate views rub him wrong.

Obama’s “stupid” reaction to the Henry Gates matter proved he isn’t a transformational figure on race. His nonstop attacks on anybody who opposes his health care takeover are also telling.

What we see — at home and abroad — is not a leader who is proud of America and her people. Instead we see a partisan community organizer who smooth-talked his way into the White House; a guy who doesn’t come close to being “presidential“… or even know what it means.

MITCHELL:

I wanted to ask you about a report in the New York Times today. The president’s going to take on immigration reform, which, of course, became impossible for George Bush. With all of his good intentions he wasn’t able to accomplish it, something that John McCain has been pressuring to have some action on. Is this really going to become a priority on top of everything else that he’s trying to do?

SHRUM:

Yes, I think they’re going to move on immigration. I hope the Republicans fulminate against it because they’ll get to the point where they won’t get a single Hispanic vote. Go ahead and make my decade, turn Texas into a Democratic state.

MITCHELL:

I don’t know about Texas.

SHRUM:

If it can happen in California, it can happen in Texas.

Bob Shrum reveals what we’ve always known about amnesty:

It’s designed to expand the Democrat Party and kill the Republican Party.

And, of course, the Republican Party’s way of dealing with it is self-defeating, to pander and so forth and act like they have the same attitude about it that Democrats do.

The only answer is Conservatism.

You approach people as people, not as members of groups.

You approach them as people.You tell them they live in the greatest country in the world, United States of America, that you love ’em, you want the best for them, but it’s up to them.  And this country provides more opportunity for people willing to go out and strive for it and work for it, and what our party is going to do is get out of your way, we’re going to get out of your way and we’re going to let you.

Now, if you’re illegal, we’re not going to violate our laws. But the Democrat Party way is to destroy the US culture in order get votes for power.

Why would the Republican Party want to go along with that? But they do ’cause it’s the path of least resistance, the path of least criticism, other than from their own voters.

Time to grow a backbone, and wake up people.

The shackles of the past — which for so long have bound too many of us — have been shaken loose. And the process of rebuilding the conservative movement has begun.

This is the rebirth of principled opposition.

An opposition rooted in conviction; not opposition for opposition’s sake, or political expedience.

The road will be steep, but I know as a people we will get there:

• Can we oppose the idea that confiscatory taxation produces prosperity, when in fact it punishes economic growth? Yes, we can!
• Can we oppose the notion that our national greatness is derived from an ever-growing government — instead of the freedom from government our Founders envisioned? Yes, we can!
• Can we oppose the belief that one’s earnings must be redistributed for the false promise of fairness? Yes, we can!
• Can we oppose the belief that it is immoral to secure our own borders, or defend ourselves from terrorists intent on destroying us? Yes, we can!

Can we do all that and more? Yes, we can! Because now it is plain for one and all to see: Taking the moderate path of appeasement leads to abysmal defeat.

Conservatives are free at last! Thank God Almighty, we’re free at last — to seek the mountaintop!
