Barack Obama, was in Mexico, and had a few words to say about immigration reform.

After whining for the millionth time about how much he has on his plate, Obama said he expects Congress to draft an immigration bill by year’s end… after health care, energy, and financial regulations are enacted.

Vowing he’ll get immigration reform passed next year, Obama warned there will be, quote,

“demagogues out there who try to suggest that any form or pathway for legalization for those who are already in the United States is unacceptable.”

This is good news.

If Obama holds to this schedule, the timing is great for Republicans — if, that is, they’re willing to represent their base. And with the 2010 elections within striking distance, we’ll see how “unified” the Democrats — especially the Blue Dogs — are when it comes to granting blanket amnesty to illegals.

As for Obama’s slamming the so-called demagogues out there: Sadly, it’s a ritual for this president to stand on foreign soil and disparage American citizens whose legitimate views rub him wrong.

Obama’s “stupid” reaction to the Henry Gates matter proved he isn’t a transformational figure on race. His nonstop attacks on anybody who opposes his health care takeover are also telling.

What we see — at home and abroad — is not a leader who is proud of America and her people. Instead we see a partisan community organizer who smooth-talked his way into the White House; a guy who doesn’t come close to being “presidential“… or even know what it means.

People see their liberty being taken away. People see their freedom being taken away. Old people see their health care being taken away. They see it. They know what’s in the bill, and that’s why all this is happening.

And now the president of the United States is leading and promoting an intimidation of average American citizens, many of whom voted for him.

Do not think that all of these people showing up at town hall meetings are Republicans. A lot of these people are Democrats.

Last night, McLean, Virginia. The president of the United States, at a fundraiser and he basically just told the Republicans: Just get out of the way.

OBAMA:

I expect to be held responsible for these issues because I’m the president.

But I don’t want the folks who created the mess — I don’t want folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them just to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess.

I don’t mind cleaning up after them, but don’t do a lot of talking. Am I wrong, Virginia?

FOLLOWERS:

No!

This is not the man people thought they elected. The people who made the mess? Once again he’s whining and moaning that somebody else gave me this mess.

Mr. President, two million people have lost their jobs since your “stimulus” bill was signed into law.

This economy is foundering ever since you came into office. You have almost doubled the federal deficit this year and who knows what’s going to happen to the national debt. But he doesn’t want the folks who created the mess to do a lot of talking. He’s got a snitch website! How in the world can he enforce this request or desire that he has for the folks who made the mess to just stop talking?

OBAMA:

I need every one of you to knock on doors and make phone calls and get fired up once again so that we can go towards the future!

He is no longer the president. He is a candidate. He’s got a plan. This thing is now called “health care.”

So the community organizer is organizing. The community agitator is agitating. The only one sending out organizing memos nationwide is President Barack Obama, and community agitators can’t start bitching when communities agitate.

Brad Miller is a Democrat Congressman from North Carolina. Now Brad Miller claims that hundreds of Congressmen have received death threats. He offers no substantiation, and I’ve looked around. I don’t see anywhere on the World Wide Web where hundreds of Congressmen have made charges similar to Miller’s. Have you seen that? Hundreds of Congressmen? The president of the United States travels around every day, 24/7. The more he goes out, the more his poll numbers drop — and he’s out there every day pitching health care. If he can do it, then certainly our precious little Congressmen can sure as hell meet with their constituents.

Associated Press:

“White House Advises Dems on Health Care Protests — Top White House officials counseled Democratic senators Thursday on coping with disruptions at public events on health care this summer, officials said, and promised the party and allies would respond with twice the force if any individual lawmaker is criticized in television advertising.”

Is it not amazing? Here are our elected officials — members of the House of Representatives, the US Senate — and they have to get instructions from the White House on how to deal with their voters.

They have to get instructions from the White House, and the reason for this is the whole thing is a lie.

Everything they are selling is a lie, and they have to get instructions on how to sell the lie. The dirty little secret is Obama has to lie. He can’t tell the truth. This country is not what Obama is. This country is not of the same values. This country is not oriented in a core value way the way Obama is. And more and more people in the country are seeing this. And so when you’re a senator, a United States senator and you have to get instructions from the White House PR machine how to deal and talk to your voters, the translation is, “You’ve got to go out and lie this way.”

Now, what this is all about is the focus grouping they’ve done has forced them to change the terms. It’s not health “care” reform. It’s health “insurance” reform now and bashing the insurance companies.

Mark Tapscott at the Washington Examiner.

“Last week I wrote in this space that Obamacare could be the death of AARP because it would expose to the rank-and-file of the 40 million member seniors group how their Washington leaders have been taking them for a ride for many years. The AARP leadership scoffed at that suggestion, but check out the video of a Dallas AARP meeting in this post by Moe Lane at Red State. The leadership wanted to give the members the usual dog-and-pony show in favor of government-run health care, but the members weren’t buying it,” and as soon as the members said, “No, we don’t believe what you’re saying “the leaders got up and left. Evidently, you either sit down, shut up and listen to your leaders in AARP, or they abandon you.

“If it happened in Dallas,” it can happen in any other city in the country.

David Axelrod — who is Obama’s word-speechwriter guru — has also given instructions to Democrats via talking points.

“Axelrod and Jim Messina, the White House deputy chief of staff, met with the Senate Democratic caucus Thursday afternoon to strategize over how to talk about healthcare during the August break, and this is the famous meeting where they say, “If they hit you, we’re going to punch back twice as hard.”

This is from the White House.

Now, you’ve seen pictures. I’m sure you’ve been on the websites. You haven’t seen the pictures on television; the Media’s not talking much about this. But you’ve seen the pictures of these people. They are the most harmless, blend-into-the-crowd people. A couple of them may be wearing suits. But they are not even all that dressed up. A lot of them are elderly. They are nonthreatening. They have made no threatening moves. They have made no threatening remarks. Nothing whatsoever.

Obama sends out his army.

This is Mussolini-type stuff.

This is the president of the United States who cannot deal with opposition. There will not be any. He is going to silence it. He’s sending his union thugs out to physically assault, in some cases, and to in all cases intimidate average Americans who just want some answers. And nobody’s willing to provide them the answers.

All they’re getting is lies.

Any time anybody who wasn’t even associated with McCain’s campaign said something like “Barack Hussein Obama,” then the left starts prancing around all angry and so forth

CNN’s Campbell Brown — ran a story defending Sarah Palin.

Now, this might only be on their website. I don’t know that it aired either.

“Whatever you may have thought about John McCain’s running mate … try to put all of that aside for just a moment, because Sarah Palin is who she is. She did not become measurably more intelligent or measurably less intelligent during this campaign. Remember, she was only part of the campaign for a matter of nine weeks. Sarah Palin is who she is, which is why I find it so stunning that the very people who introduced us to her, who told us she would make a great vice president, have now turned on her with a vengeance. They are the top advisers to John McCain’s failed campaign and they are desperate to find someone to blame for their long, long list of mistakes. They have been launching grenades at Palin and her supporters. CNN has found some of their allegations to be patently false.”

CNN admits they investigated something.

CNN did this story on right-wing rage? Let me be honest with you.

If there is any right-wing rage today, it is at the moderates in the Republican Party who are responsible for taking this party down a sewer.

Governor Palin ignited a dead and dry campaign.

She’s tough. She’s smart. She’s competent. She’s articulate, a doer, and she’s got a proven track record to prove that — and she just doesn’t talk. She’s done the walk, and I think that’s what her attackers fear most, that she’s too effective at brushing the waste where it belongs.

She is a threat to the modern Republican Party, which is made up of a bunch of spineless moderates. And they’re trying to take her out now.

But the problem is that conservatives love this woman.

It’s not even arguable and it’s not even close.

Al Gore is even more of an energy Bigfoot than he was last year. A year ago, the Tennessee Center for Policy Research revealed that Gore’s home gobbled up more energy every month than the average American household uses in a year. So Gore publicly claimed that he was going to make his home “more green,” in line with his rhetoric.

A year later, NewsBusters has revisited the subject — and guess what? Not only did Gore’s “green renovations” fail to bring energy costs down at his mansion; the former Vice President actually increased his energy use over ten percent! In the last year, Al Gore has used over 200,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity.

That’s enough power to run 232 average American homes for a month.

All the nonsense about “carbon footprints” that Al Gore spouts — all those diatribes urging you to reduce your CO2 output by getting rid of your SUV, changing your lightbulbs or face imminent doom is nothing more than hot air.

Life inside the Gore household is typical do-as-I-say, not-as-I-do liberalism.

With decades of holier-than-thou political posturing, self-promotion, and legions of incompetent journalists acting as his PR army, Al Gore has transformed himself from a run-of-the-mill political hack, to the face of the man-made global warming hoax.

But generations from now, when historians look back, they’ll wonder how a charlatan like Gore pulled off this hoax — and why so many of you fell for it.

Folks, this is the 6th of June.

I realize that many of you know what the significance is of the 6th of June, but if all the adult Americans alive do not know what today is, then there is something very, very wrong. If every journalist, if every pundit, every blogger, every member of the United Nations does not know what today is, there is something very wrong.

June 6th, they called it D-Day.

On this day, 64 years ago, 150,000 American GIs stormed the beaches at Normandy. The casualties and the death toll in one day dwarf what has happened in Iraq in four or five years. In one day, approximately 2500 GIs and 2600 paratroopers were injured or killed in action. More than 5,000 losses in one day. That’s just the Americans. The Canadians and the Brits suffered as well. There were more deaths if you count our allies, the Canadians and the British.

The casualties and the deaths at D-Day of the United States and its allies, dwarf — dwarf — the casualties and deaths in five years of the Iraq war.

And on D-Day, the mission was accomplished.

Do you know what the mission was? What was the mission of D-Day?

The mission of D-Day was to land on the beaches at Normandy. That was the mission, and we did. We landed.

Then the second phase of the mission was to take back France, and we did.

Well, the German guns were all over the beach, but the German guns high atop Pointe-Du-Hoc had just free rein over anybody trying to climb the cliffs. Once you took the beach, once you stormed the beach, US Army Rangers had to rappel straight up to get to the German guns.

And they got there while the Germans were just firing pointblank range with nothing in the way. It was one of the most courageous acts of heroism. The Army Rangers just kept coming. Reagan referred to them as “the boys of Pointe-Du-Hoc“.

If you have any sense of history or patriotism or gratitude, take a moment and be thankful on two counts.

First, the sacrifice made by all of those in battle — those who passed and those who survived. The sacrifice made by those in battle — those who pass, those who survived — be thankful for that.

Second, that no senator, no congressman, no political party used the costs and the losses for political advantage to try and take over Congress.

Back during World War II — the Normandy invasion, the Battle of the Bulge — nothing happened in American politics like is happening today where the effort on the part of the US military was proclaimed a failure by one of the political parties.

It was never stated publicly, “We can’t win,” by members of the House or Senate on the Senate floor. They were not, in those days, saying anything publicly to demoralize the troops. Nor were they doing anything to castigate the commander-in-chief at the time, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Sixty-four years ago was one of the greatest days of the “Greatest Generation“. So give them a thought and at least a few seconds. If you don’t know anybody from that era to thank personally, then think your thanks to them.

The real story of D-Day is they landed on the 6th because they wanted to get to northern Italy on the 7th.

They landed on the 6th because it was the only day they could with weather. It was delayed over and over again. Weather forecasting back then was not nearly as precise as it is today. But they came.

The movie is not bad. It’s a movie for its age. The Longest Day summarizes it somewhat. There was also the Tom Hanks movie. Saving Private Ryan is also a pretty good account of one aspect of D-Day and Normandy and the whole French and Normandy invasion. But Eisenhower was not confident it was gonna work. This was so massive an undertaking. I think there were a significant number of deaths even in a training exercise for this mission. Something along the lines of 750.

So today’s D-Day, a lot of people probably don’t know it; many people probably have not even been taught it, but it was truly a remarkable day in the history of the United States military and this country — and if you read the history of it, if you don’t know anything about it, if you read the history of it, you will be stunned to compare how that effort and almost all of World War II was dealt with by the American people and our elected officials compared to the way the war in Iraq has been dealt with.

The war in Iraq has featured two wars.

We have had to defeat a domestic enemy in the process of waging it. That would be largely the American left, which has sought to undermine it at every stage of the way and proclaim defeat. Plus we’ve had to defeat the bad guys.

And both have occurred.

The defeat of the bad guys at this stage a little bit more profundity than the defeat of the left, because the left has succeeded in nominating as their presidential candidate a man who sought the defeat of the US military in the war in Iraq.
