Thank god, the Republican party has grown some balls… and a spine.
And, go figure, it’s a WOMAN.

I have summaries of three media reports on the choice of Sarah Palin…
First, the Boston Herald:
“Mitt Romney Lauds McCain’s Sarah Palin Pick — ‘Governor Palin’s story is one that all Americans will find inspiring,’ Romney said in a statement. ‘She’s a Washington outsider with a commitment to conservative principles that will make our nation stronger. I look forward to campaigning for Senator McCain, Governor Palin, and Republicans across the country. Mitt Romney.'”
From the Pioneer Press in Minnesota:
“Pawlenty Calls Palin an Outstanding Pick — Governor Tim Pawlenty this morning praised the Alaska governor, Sarah Palin. ‘She’s an executive. She’s a reformer. She’s going to be a great leader for our country,’ Pawlenty said after his weekly radio show at the Minnesota State Fair.”
Anne Kornblut, Washington Post:
“Though it was high in shock value, the Palin pick left bruised feelings among the short-list contenders who were not picked — and infuriated some Republican officials who privately said McCain had gone out on a limb, unnecessarily, without laying the groundwork for such an unknown. Two senior Republican officials close to Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty said they had both been rudely strung along and now ‘feel manipulated.’ ‘They now know that they were used as decoys, well after McCain had decided not to pick them,’ one Republican involved in the process said.”
Which spin will become the “truth“?
They hate us. They are so predictable! — LMAO
John O’Sullivan is a veteran of many political experiences over many years. He’s edited National Review, he’s very close to Lady Thatcher, and he points out that Lady Thatcher came to office as prime minister with very little foreign policy experience, but she surrounded herself with experts that believed in her, that she trusted their instincts as compared to her own.
Now, Joe Biden has foreign policy experience on the Foreign Relations Committee — wipppeee — 30 years of being wrong on everything.
What good is experience if you’re wrong on everything?
And that’s what this is going to boil down to. Obama and Biden are simply wrong and it’s been proven.
They were against the surge. Obama was against the whole thing in Iraq. They’ve been wrong on everything that has been important. Her foreign policy experience is — you know, that’s where character comes in, education, surrounding yourself with the right kind of advisors. McCain can handle that. That’s a baseless charge. They’re going to have a lot of problems going after this woman, they really are.
Her son deploys to Iraq on September the 11th.
This is Sarah Palin and her accomplishments.
Obama could not make a speech like this.
PALIN:
In serving as the team mom and coaching some basketball on the side, I got involved in the PTA and then was elected to the city council and then elected mayor of my hometown where my agenda was to stop wasteful spending and cut property taxes and put the people first!
I was then appointed ethics commissioner and chairman of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission. And when I found corruption there, I fought it hard and I held the offenders to account.
Along with fellow reformers in the great state of Alaska, as governor, I stood up to the old politics as usual — to the special interests, to the lobbyists, the big oil companies, and the good old boy network.
When oil and gas prices went up so dramatically and the state revenues followed with that increase, I sent a large share of that revenue directly back to the people of Alaska — and we are now… We’re now embarking on a $40 billion natural gas pipeline to help lead America to energy independence.
I signed major ethics reforms and I appointed both Democrats and independents to serve in my administration, and I championed reform, toned the abuses of earmark spending by Congress. In fact, I told Congress, “Thanks, but no thanks,” on that Bridge to Nowhere. If our state wanted a bridge, I said we’d build it ourselves.
Can I paraphrase Michelle Obama real quick?
“For the first time in years, I am proud to be a Republican.”
What a perfect ending to the Democrats’ convention. I am so excited about this woman. I jotted some things down as I listened to her speech. She’s smart, she spoke from her heart, she’s compassionate, — AUTHENTIC… thats the word I was looking for.
She’s attractive, not in a superficial Hollywood way, she’s just an attractive woman, she’s experienced, she’s tough, she’s comfortable in front of the audience, she was very easy to listen to. I think McCain hit it out of the park with this.
I wonder if Chris Matthews has a tingle going up his leg as he listened —

OK, I admit it. I have been unenthusiastic about the Republican nominee since the beginning. But, I sure those who read this blog, knew that. I am thrilled to announce that I am finally in McCain’s camp, 100 percent.
DAYTON, OH- Injecting a new twist into the presidential race, John McCain on Friday introduced Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his vice presidential running mate at a rally that also celebrated the Republican presidential candidate’s 72nd birthday.
Finally a TRUE Conservative in the White House. And, check it out folks, it’s a woman.
God Bless America.
Can’t wait to blog about this.
AP story:
“Two weeks after a devastating revelation sent her husband into political exile, Elizabeth Edwards isn’t getting the steady sympathy usually afforded to a woman scorned. Instead, she’s faced criticism from dedicated Democrats who think she was too willing to keep the affair a secret to help John Edwards’ political ambitions, as well as her own. At a time when she was expected to hold a prominent role in pushing an agenda of improved health care for Americans, she stands silent.
While fellow Democrats converge in Denver to nominate Barack Obama for president, Edwards remains in seclusion in North Carolina. … ‘I think she’s complicit,’ said Brad Crone, a Raleigh-based Democratic consultant. ‘Obviously, she knew. While she’s the victim, she clearly didn’t stand in the way of the cover-up.'”
My friends, this is quite devastating, and it’s striking to see the difference in which Hillary Clinton was treated and the way Elizabeth Edwards is being treated.
Why isn’t she being afforded, at minimum, the same pass that Hillary was?
Reason is very simple: Liberals are power hungry. Bill Clinton was president. They wanted to keep their power.
Edwards ran; he lost. He’s expendable, therefore so is his wife.
See, Hillary was not only complacent. To show you the difference in fairness here of the coverage of these two women, Hillary was not only complacent. She led the effort to cover up for her husband. She
led the effort to smear the women that her husband had abused, and she attacked away at will.
Elizabeth Edwards never did any of this. She just stood silent, and now Democrats are mad at her for helping facilitate the affair. So some of the same people who admire Hillary for her cunning back then and support her for president now, are trashing Elizabeth Edwards.
You gotta love this. Truth is stranger than fiction…
Do you know the Democrats even had to put the Pledge of Allegiance on television screens inside the convention so that delegates could read the words?
“I pledge allegiance to the… Oh, yeah! Flag.”
They actually put on teleprompters and screens the Pledge of Allegiance, the text, so the delegates could read it.
People have to understand the liberal mind. The liberal mind does not work like the mind of a regular person. Their obsession with power and control is what drives them at all times.
Look at the cities they run.
Look at New York. Look at San Francisco. Look at all the cities liberals run with unchecked power and look at all of the controls on people’s behavior that there are in those cities. Look at their support for Obama.
There is no sane movement in a sane environment that would back a man with his credentials such as they are for the highest office in the
land.
He’s a radical leftist. He hasn’t accomplished a thing, but through him they believe they can gain back the White House and impose (with a Democrat Congress) an agenda of massive spending, massive taxation, and massive control of the populace.
Hell, if they thought Daffy Duck could win the Democrat nomination, they’d nominate him.
