I just want something simple, like the TRUTH!

Gloria Borger was on CNN’s Election Center last Tuesday night, the host Campbell Brown.

“Where do things stand, Gloria? Is Sarah Palin hurting rather than helping the McCain campaign?”

BORGER:

Well, she certainly isn’t bringing along Hillary Clinton supporters. Anybody who thought that she was going to bring along Hillary Clinton supporters was not looking at Sarah Palin’s record and Hillary Clinton’s record. She is bringing along white men who like her a lot and she’s rallying the base. But is she bringing along those independent voters? Absolutely not.

Now, the very moment Gloria Borger was saying this on CNN New York, across town, Sarah Palin was raising over a half million dollars from Hillary Clinton supporters at the Grand Hyatt hotel down at Grand Central Station.

So Gloria Borger is flapping her gums apparently not knowing what she’s talking about. This morning on the Today show on NBC.

GUTHRIE:

Nearly everywhere Sarah Palin goes these days she’s encountering people who aren’t necessarily there for the politics.

MAN:

I can’t put it in words. My daughter is nine, and to have somebody like this supporting us, it does move our entire family.

GUTHRIE:

Families of children with Down syndrome, children like Trig, have been flocking to Palin rallies. They come to shake her hand, grab a hug, or snap a picture, drawn there, they say, because her story is theirs, too.

WOMAN:

Sometimes you see politicians, and you don’t think they have struggles like the rest of us, but she does. She has a unique situation.

GUTHRIE:

Last week Palin stopped to talk to us about what’s become a phenomenon on the trail.

PALIN:

We have an automatic bond there where we can just look at each other in the eyes and say, “I know, and you know, we’re all in this together.”

GUTHRIE:

Do you feel a heightened sense of responsibility now that you’re in this position?

PALIN:

I sure do, and I won’t let these people down. Part of the reason that I’m doing this is for my own child who has special needs.

GUTHRIE:

Is it emotional for you, to see these faces?

PALIN:

Very emotional, very emotional, yeah.

This is one reason why the Media and the Democrats despise Sarah Palin, and one of the reasons that they are deathly afraid of her.

She is connecting with people on a human level, on an issue that liberals despise, the survival of Down syndrome children. The press and the Democrats feel powerless to destroy her. She is connecting with people on the issue of life, and that just sends the American left for into a tail spin.

Stephen Spruiell posting at National Review Online.

“‘My 8th grade son is in an advanced English class at a public middle school here in Racine, Wisconsin. I just found out that my son’s new (copyright 2008) Wisconsin — McDougal Littell Literature book has 15 pages covering Barack Obama. I was shocked — No John McCain, no Hillary Clinton, no George Bush — Just Barack Obama. I’m wondering how it is that Obama’s story gets put into an 8th grade literature book? It would be one thing, if it was just the tidbit about his boyhood days, but 15 pages, and they talk about his “Life of Service“.

“‘”Honestly, what has Obama really done to be included in this book?’ According to the McDougal website, the literature book’s section on Obama discusses a chapter from Dreams From My Father and … Obama’s keynote address to the 2004 Democratic convention.”

So they got little kids singing to Obama all over the country. They got quasi-military groups marching and pledging allegiance to Obama as they do Kim Jong Il in North Korea and now they’ve got textbooks.

This is going to really upset Bill Clinton because he was the guy that owns all the pages in textbooks. Well, that’s history books.

They’re putting Obama in literature.

Georgia Democrat John Lewis has gotten a pass for years, primarily because he was brutally beaten by racists during the 1960s civil rights demonstrations. He’s lived off that horrid episode ever since, unleashing partisan attacks while posing as a moralist.

Last Saturday, Rep. Lewis accused John McCain and Sarah Palin of “sowing the seeds of hate and division,” comparing them to George Wallace, the segregationist Alabama Democrat. Congressman Lewis said that while Wallace “never threw a bomb” or fired a gun, he created a climate that fostered violent attacks on innocent Americans.

“Because of this atmosphere of hate, four little girls were killed on Sunday morning when a church was bombed in Birmingham.”

Now, John McCain and Sarah Palin have never associated with anybody who killed innocent Americans. Bill Ayers, however, founded a group that bombed both the Pentagon and the US Capitol building, where Lewis gives his speeches.

The truth is, only one candidate running for president has dealings with a terrorist bomber, and that’s Barack Obama.

I’m not going to mince words here. Congressman Lewis, your attack on McCain dishonors the memory of the innocent victims you so willingly exploit. Moreover, it exposes you for what you are: an unprincipled partisan hack, willing to trade your soul to peddle the worst kind of racial rhetoric.

You are sowing hate and division yourself. You’re cheapening the legacy of the civil rights movement in which you once fought. It’s painful to witness what you have allowed yourself to become — simply to be a partisan hack Democrat.

This is about ACORN. We have some qoutes here about ACORN and the Media trying to suggest that McCain rallies are full of racists and violent protesters and so forth.

Obama says that he had nothing to do with ACORN. His website says:

I have nothing to do with ACORN; I never had anything to do with them. I may have known some people there, but ACORN is just some group down the street in the neighborhood that had a sign out that said “ACORN.” I don’t know anything about ACORN.

December 1st, 2007, Heartland Democrat Presidential Forum.

Obama took questions from the moderator, Katherine Hughes. Katherine Hughes says,

“If elected president would you agree in your first 100 days to meet with a delegation of representatives from these various community organizations, the Campaign for Community Values, and so forth, can they count on you in your first 100 days to sit down with them?”

OBAMA:

Yes. But let me say that before I even get inaugurated, during the transition we’re going to be calling all of you in to help us shape the agenda. (cheering) We’re going to be having meetings all across the country with community organizations so that you have input into the agenda of the next presidency of the United States of America!

So he’s going to have ACORN in without preconditions. He’s going to have all these community organizations in, and he’s going to let them set the agenda and he’s out there denying that he knows them.

Gets harder and harder to LIE to the American people, when his own words are so reveling.
