Frustrated Incorporated
I just want something simple, like the TRUTH!

With rising prices, food riots, and uncertainty over food supplies worldwide, Democrats want more money.

“This is the worst global food crisis in more than 30 years,” says Democrat senator Dick Durbin. He seeks a $200 million increase for international food relief programs.

Meanwhile, Tyson Foods — one of the world’s largest food producers — issued a warning of their own. They may have to spend a billion dollars more than last year just to keep up with skyrocketing chicken feed. Tyson CEO Richard Bond is calling on the US government to change its ethanol policy to bring down the cost of corn. “Higher food costs is only one of the many unintended consequences” of price supports for ethanol, he says. He also warns that it’s going to get worse: Current prices haven’t yet caught up with the added costs of producing food, so you can look forward to even higher prices.

Let me give you all a prediction:

The real fallout from the “global food crisis” will never be laid at the doorstep of those responsible. When tens of millions needlessly died from malaria after DDT was banned — due to flawed research from environmentalists nuts and stupid “activists” — nobody was ever held to account. Likewise, those responsible for liberal junk-science environmental policies behind this food crisis will never be held to account.

Instead, while ignoring the deaths, the turmoil, and the worldwide calamities they cause (like Dick Durbin and Al Gore), they’ll simply demand more money… to “fix” the problem they created.

Barack Obama’s pastor, Jeremiah Wright, took his routine to the National Press Club. As demonstrated by his speech and the Q&A session afterwards, here’s how Reverend Wright’s so-called liberation theology sees America:

We are a nation forever damned by a history of slavery, deserving of terrorist attacks because we have “done terrorism” the world over. We are a nation that continues to oppress minorities, and neglect the health and welfare of the poor and the weak — while fighting unjust wars sparked by lies. This view of America — from which millions need to be “liberated,” politically and morally — extends beyond Reverend Wright; this resonates with liberals everywhere.

Now, that view of America misses a central point:

Liberation was at the core of America’s birth war. Our Founders revolted to establish a form of government which recognizes that man’s rights and liberty are not a birthright of monarchs, but rather bestowed by God. And less than a century later, another American war abolished the centuries-old practice of slavery. Those two wars sparked the liberation of millions beyond our borders, as democratic governments overturned monarchies around the world.

Since then, we have shed blood to liberate millions more from Nazism, Communism, and now Islamofascism. No other nation has created and spent as much wealth — both governmentally and privately — on the welfare of citizens and people of the world.

The liberated, liberating others — that’s America’s history.

We are an exceptional nation. We’re not damned; we are blessed by God. The United States of America is the solution for the world.

Hillary Clinton, at a press conference on oil prices and the like, embarrassed herself. —-

HILLARY: When I’m president, we will finally get tough with OPEC. You know, OPEC is a cartel. It’s basically a monopoly of the 13 biggest oil producing nations. They get together in a room a couple of times a year, they decide how much oil they will produce and what the price will be. If you did that in the United States, if every veneer company did that, you’d be violating the law, because you can’t be fixing prices, and you can’t be determining supply. It’s supposed to be a free market. But we don’t have anything like a free market when it comes to oil.

Gee, this is almost as bad as what Chuck Schumer said. Remember the ’04 presidential campaign, John Kerry, demanding Bush go talk to OPEC, get them to lower prices, raise production, or do something.

Mrs. Clinton says that there’s price fixing going on in OPEC. OPEC doesn’t control all the oil, Mrs. Clinton. Sure OPEC does what they can to keep the price up, but they are as subject to the market as anybody else is.

When was the last time Mrs. Clinton cared about a free market anyway? She’s going to get tough with OPEC. What’s she going to threaten these guys with?

It’s the non-OPEC companies that are coming up short here, the Norways, the Mexicos, the Venezuelas, they’re the ones coming up short because of nationalization of their supplies.

You know, I just marvel. This woman has no clue, either, about how oil works, the market, pricing.

This is another portion of her remarks.

HILLARY: I’ll put a government watchdog back in charge of our energy markets. Right now they are unregulated. That alone could drop —

Oh my goodness… how stupid was that last comment?

HILLARY: — the price $20 a barrel —

Unregulated?

HILLARY: — and they’ll crack down on price gouging and any other kind of wholesale manipulation, in order to ensure that it’s all on the up and up. We need to know what the price is in order to understand how we’re gonna pay for it. But we sure shouldn’t be guessing whether what we’re paying has nothing to do with the real price.

This is absurd. This is ignorant. This is profoundly ignorant, folks.

Put a government watchdog back in charge of our energy markets, right now they’re unregulated? Unregulated? How about all the different formulations of gasoline we have to have for different geographical areas of the country, just to name one set of regulations? How about the regulations where they cannot drill?

A government official in charge of the market?

We’re going to have to change your name, Hugo Rodham Chavez. We have to know what the price is in order to understand how we’re going to pay for it?

We know what the price is.

God help us all.

The Jeremiah Wright stuff is not really about religion, it’s not even about racism.

The racism is in the Democrat Party. Let me tell you what the Reverend Wright stuff is really all about. It’s religious to the extent that he’s a pastor. What the Jeremiah Wright stuff is all about is:

Just who the hell are Obama’s friends? It’s not just Jeremiah Wright.

Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, his wife — who are still attempting to infect and pollute the American college student with anti-American rhetoric.

He has questionable relationships with sleazy people, with people that we would not want anywhere near having influence in the Oval Office.

Jeremiah Wright’s problems do not stem from his religion; so much as they stem from his hatred of this country, for his rabble-rousing and his conspiratorial beliefs about this evils of this country and its government.

Obama has said that he’s a “spiritual adviser” and “mentor.” He’s been in that church for 20 years. You choose your pastor. It is simply unbelievable to hear Obama say that he was unaware that Wright believed these things or said these things for 20 years.

He refuses to get out of this situation with Bill Ayers…

The real question is: Who’s Obama? We know who Wright is. Who’s Obama, now? And do we take the chance? We know who Bill Ayers is. We know what he’s done and we know he’s proud of it.

Who’s Obama?

You know, all this talk about it’s been so difficult to Obama to leave his pastor. That’s not what happened. Wright retired. Obama’s pastor left him!

He’s out there trying to sell a book. It is crap to say that he and Obama never discussed politics. Wright’s sermons are politics. This is not religion. The Democrats have injected race, anti-Americanism, and all kinds of extreme radical politics into this campaign.

This isn’t about religion.

People have now gotten their hands on all of these sermons. It’s even worse. Plus Jeremiah Wright’s out there saying, hey, I’m not the one who said America’s chickens have come home to roost, our ambassador to Iraq said it. Well, the ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Peck, has told Fox News he didn’t say what he said I said.

Obama — some kind of new politician. He’s not. There’s no such thing. It is not possible for a politician to come along and espouse policies or have a charismatic attitude or a prescription to fix all that’s wrong that has not come before.

They’re a dime a dozen.

Some are better than others because some are more sincere than others. But the idea that we’re going to get somebody new that has never before trod the earth as a politician leading us out of bondage or whatever has got us in bondage, it’s all crap.

It’s all marketing and packaging …

When the effort to reform campaign financing was underway.

It would weaken Republicans’ ability to freely speak to voters. It would not take the money out of politics, it would merely redirect it — and all that has happened.

Now there’s another effort underway aimed at restricting campaign speech. It’s the ad produced by the North Carolina Republican Party questioning the judgment of two Democrats running for governor who support Obama.

The ad uses clips of Obama pastor Jeremiah Wright to illustrate the extreme liberalism of Democrats. This has been deemed too “inflammatory” by two North Carolina Drive-By TV stations in Raleigh and Charlotte.

Senator McCain, of course, has denounced the ad — and a few irresponsible s Republicans, apparently trying to curry favor, have joined the condemnation.

Now, for over 40 years, conservatives have been accused of horrible things: starving kids, hurting the elderly, racism, sexism — you name it.

These liberal themes are part of the Media narrative. Liberal groups run ads all season long, always on the attack.

Yet whenever Republicans raise a sharp, truthful issue about Democrats and liberals, there is an uproar — especially if Democrats can haul out the race card.

Voters have a right to know who their candidates are, and with whom they associate; it leads to knowing their character.

What should be regarded as “inflammatory” is the effort to suppress the political speech of those who merely point out the truth.
