I just want something simple, like the TRUTH!

In the waning hours of the campaign season, Representative Jack Murtha (Democrat, Pennsylvania) is seeking help from MoveOn.org and every other fringe group he can find to hold on to his seat.

Despite slandering our troops — falsely accusing them of killing innocent men, women, and children in Iraq — Jack Murtha was considered a safe bet for reelection.

Despite threats to withhold funds for our troops on the battlefield, Murtha was considered a safe bet.

Despite vocally opposing the surge in Iraq, and advocating surrender — both positions proven wrong — Murtha was considered a safe bet.

Then he called his own voters in western Pennsylvania racists. He apologized. Then days later, he called them rednecks.

Now Murtha, in a tight race, is depending on MoveOn to save his rear. He sent out a fundraising letter claiming that smear attacks by me and others are behind his troubles. Utter nonsense.

Murtha’s own trademark arrogance and bigotry that has led to his difficulties; nothing else.

On one hand, Pennsylvania voters have a candidate, William Russell — a retired Army lieutenant colonel who respects our military — and his fellow citizens.

William Russell. R-U-S-S-E-L-L.

And then, there’s Jack Murtha, who despises our fighting military, and has even greater contempt for the people of his own state who elected him.

On Charlie Rose Show last night on PBS.

He had on Tom Brokaw last night. As you read to this, keep in mind everything you’ve heard from Brokaw and others in the Media can for the past six months, three months, two months or whatever.

This is of Charlie Rose and Brokaw trying to figure out who Obama is:

ROSE:

I don’t know what Barack Obama’s worldview is.

BROKAW:

No, I don’t, either.

ROSE:

I don’t know how he really sees where China is.

BROKAW:

We don’t know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.

ROSE:

I don’t really know. And do we know anything about the people who are advising him?

BROKAW:

Yeah, it’s an interesting question.

ROSE:

He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational (sic) speeches.

BROKAW:

Two of them! I don’t know what books he’s read.

ROSE:

What do we know about the heroes of Barack Obama?

BROKAW:

There’s a lot about him we don’t know.

Incredible!

Let’s send the journalist to find out! Why, have you guys ever thought of that, Tom? Have you ever thought about sending a reporter to find out who the guy is? Charlie! You got plenty of reporters there at PBS, at least on the… Have you ever thought about sending anybody out to find out who he is, besides the two books?

I cannot believe this.

We know who his heroes are — and, of course, that’s the point! We know who his heroes are. We know who his alliances are with. We know who his friends are. We know that he chose them all.

But to hear… This is last night. This is, what, four days, five days before the election. These are two of Obama’s biggest media supporters!

This is hilarious if it weren’t so damn maddening, because the answer to this is, “Hey, Tom? Talk to the bureau chief in Washington, the new guy who replaced Russert. What you do is, you assign a reporter to go out and find out who Obama is.”

Well, we know one of his heroes is a member of the Communist Party, Frank Davis. He mentored him in Hawaii. There’s a lot we know, Tom. Does this not ice it? Does this not ice…?

We know as much as can be known about Obama, far more than he wants us to know, and here are these two pillars of Media journalism.

“I don’t know. I don’t know. It’s an interesting question, Charlie. It’s an interesting question.”

Hey, Tom, Charlie, I think we can help here about his view of China.

This was last night on MSNBC, and he was asked this question, Obama was.

“Is there a possibility you could see in your first term if elected and we need an economic stimulus, an FDR style public works program?”

OBAMA:

I’ve actually talked about this. I think we have to rebuild our infrastructure. Look at what China’s doing right now. They, uh, er, uh — Their trains are faster than us. Their ports are better than us. They are preparing for a very competitive Twenty-First Century economy, and we’re not.

Okay, Charlie? Tom? You just heard Obama say after you’re wondering where he is on China, he thinks they’re better than us!

The trains run on time? All this infrastructure? Look at the infrastructure that cannot handle a .0001 earthquake! Basically a giant taking a couple of steps will crap some buildings over there. But here’s Barack Obama singing, once again, the praises of China, a communist country — and what? Criticizing the United States.

It was an interesting point. It was a very interesting point to an interesting question. Tom Brokaw said it was “an interesting question,” What is his attitude on China, the people advising him. Here it is.

He loves China, he thinks the United States sucks.

Robin Roberts interviewing Barack Obama, and she said,

“Do you have any regrets that you said to Joe the Plumber, your spread the wealth comments?”

OBAMA:

Not at all. Look, if John McCain’s best argument is that he wants to continue the same Bush tax cuts for the very wealthiest Americans that in 2000 he himself opposed — and in the meantime fails to give tax cuts to a hundred million people in America that I would give tax cuts to — John McCain’s going to have some problems. Because the American people understand that the way we grow this economy is from the bottom up.

Wrong on so many counts.

But the one thing that I have to say here about Obama: He is consistent. He never wavers from what he says. Well, that’s not true. He has moderated his position on a couple things. But the point is, as far as his base is concerned, he’s consistent. He didn’t back off this.

When he talks about the free market he always criticizes the free market. When he talks about the rich, he always rips the rich.

You know, one day you’ve got McCain out there sounding like Milton Friedman; the next day you’ve got him sounding like FDR. The lack of consistency in the McCain message is striking compared to the consistency in the Obama message. And he’s also, Obama, very consistent about America is to blame.

Now, he’s consistent. He’s wrong in practically everything he’s voted on and said, but he’s consistent with it. He doesn’t shock his supporters. He doesn’t make ’em scratch their heads. Of course they’re not even really listening to the substance of what Obama is saying.

Now, this tax cut thing is one thing where he has changed his mind because he got caught on this. He was going to give “a tax break to 95% of Americans.” Now, the problem is that a little under 70% is the largest number of Americans that pay taxes. Around 30, 32% of Americans do not pay income taxes.

This was pointed out to Obama. He said,

“Well, they pay payroll taxes, and I’m going to give them a tax credit, and they’re going to get a tax credit on their payroll taxes. They’re paying taxes; they ought to get a tax cut, too.”

So he’s going to rob the Social Security trust fund, theoretically, in order to give this tax cut, and then he said… This is one of these things that leads me to believe that Obama does not understand certain crucial things about this government. When he was challenged about his tax plan for “a tax cut for 95% of all Americans” — because 95% of all Americans don’t pay taxes — he was quick to point out that working Americans do pay payroll taxes. He said they needed a tax cut, too. When it was pointed out to him that his tax cut was in reality a socialist welfare program because it was confiscating more tax revenues from income-tax-paying Americans to hand over to non-income-tax-paying Americans, Obama said, “No, no, no, no, no.”

He did this last week. He said there’s going to be a “work requirement” to his tax plan.

Now, I have a news flash to Obama here: The fact that a person pays payroll taxes means they already have a job. And if they already have a job, it means they’re already working. So what in the name of tarnation are you talking about that these people are going to face a work requirement, and that’s going to eliminate the fact that it’s welfare?

They’re already working if they’re paying payroll taxes. Now, because I have come to understand Obama, I don’t think he understands what payroll taxes are. I don’t think that he understood what capital gains taxes are when he started talking about making them “progressive.”

I’m not sure he knows that payroll taxes are taken out of workers’ paychecks. Furthermore, I don’t think he cares.

He talks about Biden’s rhetorical flourishes, but Obama is given to his own. What he understands and believes, is income redistribution. He understands socialism. He understands radicalism, just like his friends.

How much money’s been spent on Michelle Obama’s wardrobe, or Barbara Walters’ wardrobe or Katie Couric’s wardrobe or Diane Sawyer’s wardrobe or Hillary Clinton’s? For crying out loud, one of Mrs. Clinton’s famous political fashion designers, Susanna Chung Forest, who designed Hillary’s pantsuits, which, that’s gotta boost the resume. She says that it would be unusual for a candidate as famous as Sarah Palin to need to buy clothes at all, meaning most of these women are not buying their clothes, they’re given to them by the designers in order to get publicity, just as Hollywood starlets on the red carpet before the Emmys and the Oscars, those gowns are all donated. The jewels are all donated and half the time these reprobate stars try and keep the jewels rather than give them back. It’s amazing to me Harry Winston still stays in business, the Hollywood people don’t give back his baubles, so now we find out Hillary didn’t buy her pantsuits. Who knows however many other fashion leaders in female media and politics are not buying their own clothes.

The same liberal media that tells us that gay marriage, abortion, the failure to wear a flag lapel pin, Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, et cetera, those are all irrelevant — and they’ve now gone with this wardrobe nonsense for a days.

I mean, if they’re going to start looking into Sarah Palin’s wardrobe costs, this is ridiculous and absurd. Where does this stop? What strikes me about this, and this is the honest-to-God truth, Palin is supposedly the middle-class woman these elites claim to embrace. Now, the fact that they are mocking her for not having a wardrobe for herself that would meet their standards, is pathetic.

So the Republican Party goes out, nominates a working woman without a trust fund, without a sugar daddy. She’s a self-made woman, and this is how they mock her.

When’s the last time you saw Hillary at Neiman Marcus or Macy’s or wherever else? You don’t see them there, do you? When’s the last time you saw John Kerry at Turnbull & Asser buying his shirts? He wears Turnbull & Asser shirts. Do you think he walks to Turnbull & Asser in Boston and patrols the aisles, or do you think they might send somebody to his Beacon Hill townhouse?

Republicans have nominated a working woman without a trust fund, without a sugar daddy, a self-made woman, and look how they treat her — and look at what John Murtha says about his own constituents. First they’re “racists” and now they’re “rednecks.” Barack Obama in San Francisco (paraphrased),

Ah, those people in Pennsylvania, they’re just bitter. They cling to their guns and they cling to their religion when people move into the neighborhood that doesn’t look like them. You have to watch these people.”

This is how they treat people of modest means.

This is the arrogant condescension that I have constantly warned you about regarding the way the left looks at average Americans, the so-called people they really care about: the little guy, the people they really care about.

Look at what they really think of them — you. Look at what they really think of you. These are elite snobs looking down at the people of this country.

CBS story:

“CBS News has confirmed that the Republican National Committee spent up to $150,000 on what appears to be wardrobe and makeup spending at high-end department stores for … Sarah Palin.”

Scandal, scandal, scandal, ladies and gentlemen! Scandal!

“[O]ne of the most famous political fashion designers of the year, Susanna Chung Forest, who designed Hillary Clinton’s pantsuits,”says it would be unusual for a candidate as famous as Sarah Palin to need to buy clothes,” in the first place. She said, “Why do you need to pay for it?” Her boutique, by the way, is in Beverly Hills. She says “that most designers would offer to clothe a candidate for free. ‘It’s an honor, you are going to design for someone who could be the president of the United States’

… The Los Angeles Times reported earlier this year that Senator Clinton’s custom made pantsuits from Forest were worth about $6,350 a piece retail.”

What a shocker. Do you know what the shock is? The shock is that Sarah Palin and the Republicans actually paid money for their own clothes. Don’t they know, like Democrats, they can get them for free? They actually paid for it! Why, how out of touch can you be to pay for your own clothes?
It seems to me that the Republicans will pay thousands of dollars to get women into clothes while the Democrats spend thousands of dollars to get women out of their clothes.

Now, this is the way to look at this. How about the guy from West Palm Beach, Tim Mahoney? Tim Mahoney paid off one of his mistresses’ 121 grand and then gave her $50,000 for a-no-show job. That’s $171,000 to get her out of her clothes and then to keep her mouth shut. You couldn’t even make a nice dent in what Jesse Jackson has paid his mistress.

Jackson had ‘provided his mistress with $40,000 in moving expenses, a $365,000 house and $10,000 a month in child support.'”

Let’s add this up: ten grand a month, plus a $365,000 house. So let’s add $400,000 for the house and moving expenses, $10,000 a month in child support, and we’re sitting here worried about what the hell Sarah Palin’s wardrobe cost and whether it came from campaign funds?

Did Jesse Jackson’s payments to his mistress come from slush funds? Where did Tim Mahoney get his cash to pays off his mistress? How about Eliot Spitzer? He dropped up to $80,000 on sex with prostitutes, another Democrat. Eliot Spitzer.

How can we forget John Edwards?

“[A]n earlier payment of $14,000 by to Edwards’ mistress from the candidate’s political action committee was exchanged for 100 hours of unused videotape she shot producing short Web movies. The earlier $14,000 payment to Edwards is significant because its source was Edwards one America Political Action Committee.”

How long did they sit on that story before they were dragged kicking and screaming to cover it? They’re trying to make a scandal out of the fact the RNC bought a wardrobe for Sarah Palin, when the Democrats are running around, these designers are running around bragging about how they get theirs for free.

It doesn’t tell us anything about her.

It tells us about her critics and who they are.

This is just mean, it’s elitist, it’s arrogant, it’s condescending.

A few quotes in Manchester, New Hampshire.MCCAIN:

Last week, his campaign actually found itself on a detour into the real world in the driveway of Joe the Plumber. Joe didn’t ask for Senator Obama to come to his house, and he sure didn’t ask to be famous and he certainly didn’t ask for the political attacks on him from the Obama campaign. As he told Joe, Barack Obama wants to, quote, “spread the wealth around.”

Side note: Stop and think of this. They, the Obama campaign and the media, they have been investigating Joe the Plumber.

Who the hell are they to look? What gives them the right to look into the private life of a private citizen? He’s not part of the McCain campaign; he’s not running for anything; he can’t raise anybody’s taxes; he can’t send anybody’s kid off to war. And now he can’t even work because the plumbers have ganged up on him because he supposedly didn’t have a license.

What the hell are we becoming?

What business is it of theirs to start prying into Joe the Plumber’s life? All he did was ask a question.

Here’s another portion of McCain in Manchester, New Hampshire.

MCCAIN:

Joe didn’t really like that idea much and neither did a lot of other folks who believe that their earnings are their own. After all, before government can redistribute wealth, it has to confiscate wealth from those who earned it. And whatever the right word is for that way of thinking, the redistribution of wealth is the last thing America needs right now.

OR Ever!

MCCAIN:

In these tough economic times we don’t need government spreading the wealth. We need policies that create wealth and spread opportunity.

Here is Senator Biden at a fundraiser Sunday in Seattle.

BIDEN:

The whole world is waiting, folks. The whole world is waiting. I know almost every one of these major leaders in the world by their first name, not because I’m important, but because they were young parliamentarians when I was coming up —

We’ve been hanging around a long time.

I’ll tell you what, and mark my words, within the next — first six months of this administration, if we win, they’re going to bring — we’re going to face a major international challenge because they’re gonna want to test him just like they did young John Kennedy. They’re going to want to test him, and they’re going to find out this guy’s got steel in his spine.

He’s got steel in his spine?? BS is deep here…

BIDEN:

Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old president of the United States America, remember I said, if you remember anything else I said, watch, we’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. I could give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate.

Pay attention here…

BIDEN:

He’s going to need help. And the kind of help he’s going to need is he’s going to need you, not financially, we’re going to need you to use your influence, your influence in the community to stand with him, because it’s not going to be apparent initially, it’s not going to be apparent that we’re right.

Now, this is just amazing…

He’s saying he knows it’s going to be a generated crisis, and it’s going to be bad, and it is going to happen. Four or five scenarios and he’s going to need help. He’s going to need your help. Don’t lose your support, don’t let the polls go down. You gotta stay and use your influence in the community, stand with him, ‘cause it’s not going to be apparent we’re doing the right thing.

So what’s going to happen is, we’re going to have this, whatever it is, this incident, Obama’s gonna handle it all wrong, and Biden is saying, please, still love us! Hang in with the guy! I have no clue what the incident is going to be. He obviously knows. Let’s see. These are the things that the media, tried to suppress, and, “Oh, everybody president gets attacked.”

Another Side Note:

Have we been attacked since 9/11?  Mmm, and Bush is the president. Looks to me as if Peace through Strength works…
