Frustrated Incorporated
I just want something simple, like the TRUTH!

Have you been listening as you’ve watched the Democrat presidential campaign, that neither Clinton nor Obama are mentioning Iraq anymore?

Maybe in a debate it might come up. “We gotta get out. We gotta get out.”

From Politico.com today:

“American public support for the military effort in Iraq has reached a high point unseen since the summer of 2006,” almost two years ago. This, they say, is “a development that promises to reshape the political landscape.”

“According to late February polling conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press…” According to polling by Pew, 53% of Americans “now believe ‘the US will ultimately succeed in achieving its goals’ in Iraq. That figure is up from 42 percent in September 2007.” So that’s up 11 points. That’s why the Media isn’t re not talking about it…

The American people have done a 180.

This is due to Petraeus, it is due to our military, and it is due to George W. Bush. The media are not happy about this.

The Associated Press. How does this even become a story? “Fewer people know how many US troops have died in the war in Iraq…” “Only 28 percent correctly said that about 4,000 Americans have died in the war, according to a survey by the nonpartisan Pew Research Center. … Exit polls of voters in presidential primaries and many national surveys have shown the economy has displaced the war in recent weeks as the public’s choice as the nation’s top problem.”

They’re so mad! They are so mad; they are frothing. You don’t read ’em! You’re not paying attention to the death toll! That’s what they base their entire effort to kill the war and get defeat; — and you didn’t listen, because you didn’t care, because you had the whole thing in perspective.

Shocking only to the clueless liberal media.

A brief review of current Democrat battles:

General Geraldine Ferraro is refusing to back down from her recent statement: “If Obama was a white man, he wouldn’t be in this [winning] position.” Now Obama and Ferraro are accusing each other of dividing the nation! Meanwhile, Commander-in-Waiting Hillary Clinton threw General Ferraro under the bus.

In Texas, Democrat Party officials have — temporarily — given up trying to determine who actually won their caucus. Democrats created such a confusing process that they can’t even figure it out themselves! (But they still want to run our health care.)

In Florida, Clinton supporter Senator Bill Nelson has proposed a “mail-in” do-over primary. The idea is being fought by Alcee Hastings and members of Florida’s House delegation, who are worried about “ballot security.” They must know Clinton, Inc. all too well. Meanwhile, Al Sharpton is threatening to sue if Florida’s delegation is seated at the Democrat Convention in Denver.

There’s no resolution on the horizon regarding Michigan’s unseated delegates.

New York’s Governor Eliot Spitzer — Clinton Superdelegate No. 9 — is gone. The incoming governor is a Clinton backer, but he doesn’t have nearly the… juice… that Spitzer… had.

And though Obama has an insurmountable lead in delegates, leads in the popular vote, he might be good enough by August to be Hillary’s running mate — says Clinton, Inc.

This is great, folks! Loving the show. Need more popcorn, be right back…

“Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said he stands by his remarks to an Iowa radio station last week that a Barack Obama presidency would be seen as a win for al-Qaeda and other Muslim extremists, ‘I don’t want to disparage anyone because of their race, their ethnicity, their name — whatever their religion their father might have been,’ King told KICD radio in Spencer, Iowa on Friday, March 7. ‘I’ll just say this: When you think about the optics of a Barack Obama potentially getting elected President of the United States — I mean, what does this look like to the rest of the world? What does it look like to the world of Islam?’ … ‘The fact that he has declared defeat in Iraq and said he would get the troops out immediately — that clearly sends a message. Who do you think al Qaeda is for? Who are our enemies for? Who are the radical Islamics for? It’s going to be Obama first, Hillary second, because they don’t want to face a United States that’s determined to achieve a victory.’ On the radio last week, King also said of Obama: ‘If he is elected president, then the, the radical Islamists, the, the al Qaeda, and the radical Islamists and their supporters, will be dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11.'”

And he is being pressured to apologize, and he says, “I’m not going to apologize for this. It’s true!”

His point is, and if you listen to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, if you listen to any of the Al-Qaeda figures from overseas, they’re using Democrat Party talking points. They have involved themselves in our election.

What do you think Al-Qaeda is doing? What do you think these wacko little dictators in some of these Islamist countries have been doing? They have been openly urging the defeat of the US military just as been the Democrat Party. To say they don’t have a vested interest in who wins the White House, that’s all Steve King is pointing out. So there’s a lot of pressure on people these days not to say things and it’s coming from everywhere. McCain’s got his talking points to supporters and his surrogates and his staff, say, “You can’t say anything but this.” And now Geraldine Ferraro cannot say what she said. Stupid, incorrect, correct, she can’t say it, she gotta go. Pretty soon we’re going to get to the point where people are going to sneak into the bathrooms of their houses to say what they really want to say to each other without fear of somebody hearing it and being offended and trying to punish them for it.

I know they do that now. It’s getting worse.

These are the kinds of losses of freedom and liberty that happen so slowly, and apparently under the auspices of doing good. We’re going to shut you up and you up and you up because you’re offending people and it will be a much better world when people aren’t offended by the likes of what you say. And of course then that leads to what, fear. Nobody wants to be targeted, nobody wants to called racist, sexist, bigot, homophobe, and so they shut up. They don’t tell people what they really think, other than close family members and friends in private locations where they are assured there are no cameras or microphones around.

Now, Representative King said he’s sticking to his refusal to apologize. “I don’t feel any need to apologize,” he said. “I stand by what I said. If I’m wrong, I’ll apologize. I’m not wrong and (critics) know it. I’d like to have them stand up and say if they’re wrong, they’ll apologize.”

This is the way to fight this stuff, to not go on defense, but to stay on offense about it. The idea that we can only say what certain people agree with — or that if we say things they disagree with we have to apologize and then shut up…

— is just absurd.

I know this is nothing new to Conservatives, but, I just had to share this wonderful information, provided by the Media Research Center.

The illustration is enlightening, to say the least.

Excerpts from the Media Research Center:

1. For Second Night, ABC and NBC Refuse to Utter Spitzer’s Party ID
Just as occurred Monday night, viewers of Tuesday’s ABC and NBC evening newscasts never heard the word “Democrat” applied to New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, nor did they even put a “(D)” on screen by his name as ABC did briefly Monday. CBS didn’t announce his party either on Tuesday night, but Katie Couric had done so Monday night. The ABC and NBC newscasts, however, did put “(R)” on screen over soundbites from Republicans and NBC’s Mike Taibbi twice referred to the reaction from “Republican” politicians. Fill-in ABC anchor Elizabeth Vargas avoided any party tag: “New York’s Governor, Eliot Spitzer, spent most of the day today huddled behind closed doors debating whether to resign after being linked to a prostitution ring.” On NBC, substitute anchor Ann Curry led: “Tonight, the investigation of New York Governor Eliot Spitzer’s fall from grace is broadening…” Viewers could only figure out Spitzer’s party by implication as both shows aired a soundbite from Republican Congressman Peter King with an “(R)” on screen.

2. Today Spends 4 Hours Ignoring the ‘D’ Next to Spitzer’s Name
With four hours of air time to fill, NBC’s Today show devoted a whopping 11 segments on Tuesday to the Eliot Spitzer scandal but not once did any of the show’s anchors, reporters, guests, talking heads or even on-screen graphics mention the fact that Spitzer is a Democrat. Today co-anchor Meredith Vieira set the tone when she ignored Spitzer’s party affiliation as she opened the March 11 Today show: “Good morning, client number nine. New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, a hard-charging moral crusader caught in a federal sting involving a high-price call girl ring.” NBC’s Matt Lauer, also bypassing the “D” next to Spitzer’s name, piped in: “Just when you thought you couldn’t be shocked any more we go from Eliot Ness to Eliot Mess. Another high profile politician making a stunning admission.”

3. CBS’s Early Show Makes No Mention of Spitzer Being a Democrat
CBS’s Early Show on Tuesday began with nearly nine minutes devoted to New York Governor Eliot Spitzer’s sex scandal, but did not feature anyone saying the word “Democrat.” The only hint as to his party came in two brief instances of “(D)” on screen next to Spitzer’s name. The second of two stories before a discussion segment portrayed Spitzer as a great crusader against corporate corruption as reporter Jeff Glor explained: “Eliot Spitzer was once called ‘Crusader of the Year’ by Time magazine…Spitzer built his career by taking down white-collar criminals and righting the wrongs of Wall Street.”

4. USA Today Never Labels Spitzer as Dem, But Tags Craig and Vitter
In 1,760 words, Tuesday’s front page USA Today article on New York Governor Eliot Spitzer never identified him as a Democrat, not even in photo captions, though the online version was updated with his party affiliation, yet described Senators Larry Craig and David Vitter as Republicans in the first mentions of their names in the story.

5. CNN’s Costello Channels Larry Flynt’s List of GOP Hypocrisy
CNN correspondent Carol Costello, in a report on Monday’s The Situation Room, tried to put the Eliot Spitzer scandal into a better light by focusing entirely on past Republican scandals, and only mentioned two examples of Democrats caught in scandal — Bill Clinton and Massachusetts Congressman Barney Frank — in passing. Other than Idaho Senator Larry Craig, Costello brought up Republicans who had been accused of misbehavior by pornographer Larry Flynt. She only mentioned Spitzer at the very beginning of her report, and then immediately went to her first example, Louisiana Senator David Vitter. “Maybe Larry Flynt would say of Eliot Spitzer, there will soon be one less known hypocrite in government. That’s how he described Louisiana Senator David Vitter. Flynt accused him of having been a client of the alleged D.C. madam, Deborah Palfrey, after the senator’s number was discovered in her phone records.”

Now, this is going to come as quite a shock to many of you, particularly those of you on the Democrat side, and particularly many of you independents who have an impression of Barack Obama that is false. That impression is largely that he is clean and pure as the wind-driven snow. He’s new. He’s an outsider. He’s lofty, messianic, untainted by scandal; not into any of this for himself. He cares nothing about power. He wants only what’s good for America — and, of course, he intends to end the tyranny of oil.

But how did Obama come on scene?

No. It wasn’t “hope,” and it wasn’t “change.” It wasn’t anything as ethereal as that.

It was good old-fashioned, brass knuckle politics. “Obama had returned to Chicago…” by Kyle-Anne Shiver- AmericanThinker.com, “Obama had returned to Chicago and practiced civil rights law for 3 years, when he spied an opportunity to run for the state senate. A longtime, widely revered matron of the civil rights movement named Alice Palmer had held the seat for a number of years, but she announced that she wanted to run for Congress. So, Obama seized the opportunity and proclaimed his intention to run for Alice’s open seat.”

So far, so fine. “Well, Alice lost the congressional race and decided that she wanted to hang onto that hard-won state senate seat. Most of the community leaders tried to persuade Obama to withdraw and wait his turn; he was a newcomer after all,” and she was a matron and an icon of the civil rights movement; widely revered.

“Instead Obama performed his first real act of political jujitsu. He sent his aides to the courthouse to carefully examine all of Alice Palmer’s signatures to see if enough could be disallowed to knock her off the ballot altogether. And indeed, some of Alice’s signatures were fake. The aides also found enough other fake signatures on opponents’ ballot initiatives to knock them off the ballot as well. By the time Barack Obama walked handily into his state senate seat, everyone there knew him as ‘the man who knocked off Alice Palmer.‘ Quite a feat indeed for the newcomer, the young whippersnapper with the odd name,” who practices hope.

Here’s the point of the matter.

You might be out there saying, “The woman had a bunch of fake signatures! She shouldn’t have been qualified.” Ah, yes, but this is the Democrat Party. Fake this, and fake that, is common.

You had here a young upstart who wanted to get rid of an icon, wanted to get rid of a civil rights icon. He dispatched a bunch of goons to dig up whatever they could find to disqualify her.

My only point here is, this is a guy well steeped in politics as usual. He is not some angelic figure that has come floating from the heavens on two wings, with “hope” and revival and renewal and … bla bla bla.

Now, another thing that you might want to consider about this, we’re talking Chicago, Illinois. As we all know, the dead can vote there a number of times, and have been known to do so.

…this is Chicago. Who are we outsiders to question signatures? Somebody alive had to sign those documents. One thing: The dead people can vote, but they can’t sign. This we know. So the bottom line is, here goes Obama, and he got where he is through good old-fashioned dirty politics, as usual, and this is probably going to stun a number of people.

This story is widely known. A lot of people have written about this. That’s the point. The story is widely known.

It’s just not talked about because it doesn’t fit the image that Obama is putting forth. Remember, who started these puff pieces of Obama and the image that he’s got? Your memories aren’t this short. Let’s go back to last spring. Remember all these Washington Post, New York Times puff pieces on Obama? We’re all scratching our heads, “What is this? What, are they trying to sabotage Mrs. Clinton? What is this? Obama?”

This has been a well-crafted image. The story of Alice Palmer has been out there all over this place. It doesn’t fit the narrative of the Media. I mean, how could they report this after the image they created of the guy?

Remember, the Media is as important for what they don’t report, as they are for what they do.
