Big news here, folks. Another Democrat has been caught with a whore. It’s the husband of Michigan Senator Debbie Stabenow.

“The husband of US Sen. Debbie Stabenow told police he used the Internet to make a date with a prostitute and paid her $150 for sex at a hotel, according to a police report.”

Hundred and fifty bucks? I guess maybe that’s what it is in Michigan. I forgot, economic times, Michigan taxes, etc., even the whores have had to drop prices.

“Thomas Athans, 46, cofounder of the liberal Talk USA Radio network was stopped by police who were investigating Internet-based prostitution at the hotel.”

The Detroit Free Press put this story on its website today.

“The newspaper said they obtained the police report through the state Freedom of Information Act. The Associated Press left telephone messages for Troy police on Wednesday. Stabenow, in a statement, said it was ‘very disturbing and serious. Obviously it’s a deeply difficult and personal matter.’ — does this remind anyone of the 90’s, or is it just me?

Police stopped Athans’ car after he left the Residence Inn in Troy on Feb. 26. They ticketed him for driving with a suspended license, but did not bring any sex charges against him. He was very cooperative. He didn’t tell officers who he was. He didn’t ask for any special treatment. Police arrested Alycia Martin, 20, of Westland in the hotel room on a charge of prostitution and confiscated a cell phone, laptop…”

They went after the whore? They went after the whore this time?

Normally, our culture makes celebrities out of the whores. They end up being invited on Donald Trump shows, Playboy wants ’em, all these other cable networks, everyone makes starlets out of these prostitutes.

By the way, somebody said to me, about David Paterson when he was having the affair. “Why at a Day’s Inn? Of all places, why a Day’s Inn?” I said, “He can’t see. He’s legally blind, it doesn’t matter to him so of course cost will be a factor.” I don’t think it’s true of Stabenow, he can see, so no excuse for him, other than the economy, these are hard times. I know, David Paterson may be legally blind and can’t see that he’s in a Day’s Inn, but this Athans guy can see.

But I’m not going any further than that, folks, because people are so depressed with the rotten economic times, they might not appreciate the humor, so… reining it in here for the economy.

“Democrat National Committee chairman Howard Dean says the party is committed to seating Florida’s delegates at this summer’s convention. Dean met today with Florida lawmakers to discuss ways of allocating delegates among” Hillary and Obama.

This is going to please Hillary. They’re going to seat the Florida delegates without a re-vote.

Just adding more fire, to the fight.

The founding documents — the acknowledgment that our Creator endowed us with inalienable rights, life, liberty, pursuit of happiness.

“Life“. Liberals are against that. We can’t count on liberals to ensure life. Abortion, euthanasia.

“Liberty” Nope. Liberals are not for liberty. They want to change whatever lightbulb you use. They want to force you to drive cars that you don’t want to drive. They tell you what you can and can’t do with your own property. The list is endless about the demands and the limitations on your liberty. You can’t smoke here; you can’t smoke there. You can’t eat that. You can’t eat trans fats.

” Pursuit of happiness” When’s the last time you saw a happy liberal? When’s the last time you saw a liberal talk about being happy? When’s the last time it was part of their agenda? It’s not. They’re enraged, they’re mad all the time.

I’m not saying they don’t like life and liberty, but they’re not for it. They’re clearly not.

Let’s put it this way. Liberals have targeted life. We can’t count on them to defend it. Liberty? We have to make end runs around them and fight them to hold onto our liberty. Happiness? Who’s in charge of the daily news agenda, and what is the daily news agenda?

The daily news agenda is to frighten you, to anger you, to depress you, to make you angry — even without the real events in your life, which already can do that. The price of milk, the price of bread, the price of gasoline, the price of diesel for truck drivers, already makes you mad. Then you gotta turn on the TV and listen to all this crap from other people saying the same thing. They’re not into happiness.

OBAMA: Look, I’ve got two daughters, nine year old — nine years old and six years old. I’m going to teach them first of all about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at the age of 16. You know, so it doesn’t make sense to not to give them information.

Punished with a baby. Now, I know the Obama people have spent all day yesterday and today trying to “clarify” this, and what they’re saying is, “No, no, he doesn’t think that life is a punishment! He was trying to say that he doesn’t want his girls to get pregnant in their teenage years,” but I maintain to you that he’s no different than half the other liberals out there. All during the abortion debate, pregnancy was a disease. It was a sickness. It was an “unviable tissue mass.” It certainly wasn’t about the glory of life.

So when he comes out and says things like, “I don’t want my daughters punished with a baby,” we get a little window into his soul and into his mind about that kind of thing. But a baby he looks at as punishment? STD as a punishment?

These are consequences.

It’s not punishment; it’s consequences.

It’s all about actions have consequences, and liberals don’t want to admit that. Nah, it’s something else that they have to characterize it as — in this case, punishment.

The sanctity of life, sacredness of it, life is a political thing, liberty, political thing, pursuit of happiness, a political thing.

A report by America’s Promise Alliance — that’s a group founded by former Secretary of State Colin Powell — looked at high school graduation rates in America’s 50 largest cities. In 17 of those cities, not even half the kids attending high school finish.

In large metropolitan areas, you may as well draw a target around inner cities. For instance: In Baltimore’s suburbs, over 80 percent of the kids graduate, compared to just 34 percent who live in Baltimore’s inner city. In Detroit, about a quarter of the kids graduate. Indiana‘s public school system has a 30 percent graduation rate; Cleveland, about 35 percent.

In response to the report, Secretary Powell says: “When more than 1 million students a year drop out of high school, it’s more than a problem. It is a catastrophe.”

Let’s go back to Barack Obama’s big “race speech.”

Obama, like every other Democrat, talks about schools failing minority kids. But he never addresses how they got that way. These are primarily black and Hispanic kids, in Democrat Party-run cities left to fail year after year, decade after decade. Billions upon billions are spent, nevertheless.

The kids are caught in a stranglehold of liberal politics designed to keep unions strong, and minority kids underachieving. To the extent there is “institutional racism” in America — it’s in these “blue cities.”

Secretary Powell, this education disgrace isn’t a “catastrophe.” It’s simply liberals, doing what liberals do when they run the show — or the school.

We learned from the nineties, liberals don’t care if their candidates lie.

Obama lies through his teeth constantly, so does Hillary. Hell, folks, even Frank Rich in his column yesterday in which he basically said that Hillary’s Bosnia lie was the last straw, it wasn’t that she lied that bothered him. It’s that she kept it up after it was discovered so blatantly to be a lie.

The lie didn’t bother anybody. It’s that she was not smart enough to stop lying when everybody knew it was a lie.

Obama, his appeal so far is that nobody cares what Obama says. He’s this blank slate. So I give you an example. Obama gave an economic speech last week, and in that speech, he lectured everybody on the ethic of greed in the home lending industry.

Yet he does that while buying his own home that he couldn’t afford. He took advantage of the help of Tony Rezko, a racketeer, and his wife. I don’t think Tony Rezko’s ever been known for his ethics. I mean, that was one of the themes of Obama’s big economic speech last week: greed and ethics in the home buying markets.

It’s like George Will said yesterday on This Week. They all talk about “predatory lending,” and George Will said, “Define it.” George Will is up against four liberals if you count Stephanopoulos, the host, in the roundtable — and the liberals kept talking about “predatory lending,” and Will said, “Define it.” The point was, that George Will was making, how come all of you liberals want to make all these borrowers out to be absolute dunces who haven’t the slightest idea what an ARM is? What does Adjustable Rate Mortgage mean? You go out and you take an Adjustable Rate Mortgage, you are being told, “It can change.” Your interest rate might go up. When it did, everybody was crying, “It’s not fair! I can’t afford my house payment. I would like…” Predatory lending.

So the people who took a risk and it went south on them, are now portrayed as the victims of predatory lending. What’s predatory lending? Not one liberal would define it when George Will was asking them about it. So it’s the same thing here. “Ethic of greed” in the home lending industry, as though the borrower has no responsibility whatsoever as far as Obama is concerned.

The frightening thing is that the American people love this. They love being exempt from responsible in things like that. They love being thought of as being taken advantage of.

They hate the insurance industry, hate the health industry. Everybody’s a crook. Everybody is stealing from the little guy. Everybody’s making it impossible for the little guy to be happy.

You talk about greed and unethical behavior? There’s plenty of it in the way Obama bought his house — in my opinion, anyway. So where does he come off talking about greed or ethics involving home loans and purchases, when he got sweetheart deals? As did his pastor! He went out and bought $1.6 million house for the old preacher and a $10 million line of credit. What’s that $10 million line of credit for, and who gets it?

So it’s going to be interesting. We gotta learn the lessons of the past. Liberal Democrats don’t care that their candidates lie. When they start caring is when their candidates get caught and keep lying and making it tough to get away with the lie.
